DHAMMA
In Budhism, DHAMMA or Dharma means ‘Cosmic law and order’. And this principle is applied throughout the teachings of Lord Buddha.
My spiritual journey of making this painting sort of began and unfolded entirely on its own accord. The experience was as if this work chose its own aura and style. All I did was to put in an attempt to do a Madhubani rendering of the Buddha in His vibrant form along with His disciples.
Depicted here is the eternal form of Buddha , adorned in His favorite Bodhi leaves. Mandala or circles are the symbols of ‘Pancha-tatva’ or the five elements : Prithvi (earth), Apas (Water), Tejas (Light), Maruta (Wind) and Vyom (void) – to convey pure bliss and peace of Lord Buddha!
